WWI taildraggers like the Fokker Triplane weren't fitted with brakes.

It's not difficult when you know how. You youngsters rely too much on brakes. :P

Taildraggers with no brakes usually have a tailskid which acts as a brake when the tail is on the ground. They were intended to operate from all-grass airfields & take off/land directly into wind.

I can land fine on FSX with no brakes & actually disable them on WW1 aircaft, but when it comes to Rise of Flight it would take me a month of Sundays to do a good landing in the Dr.1
(It realistically models the rotary engine & normally I come back with bullet holes in my control surfaces ;))
