Caribbean Crisis

Postby krigl » Wed Feb 08, 2012 5:19 pm

Continuing my holiday adventures in the Caribbean with Mr Benjamin Counter from Episode 1: http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb25/Ya ... 1328257355

We spent a blissful week on St Kitts - but one day it had to end...with a 6am call from Mr Counter 'Hey Krigl... you know this white gold we picked up in Haiti is really something...'
'What?' I managed, flailing for the light switch...
'Oh, nothing' said Ben. 'Look, I was just watching YouTube and I saw a great landing on St Barts there...the pilot took his passengers all the way down to the beach. No need for customs and passport control. We're going to do that today in the Goose - we leave in 15 minutes.'
'Er...?'

Great shots 8-)

Is that Fly Tampa scenery?
I've been wanting some good St. Barts scenery ever since I saw the airport on a documentary.

Yup, FlyTampa, and definitely one of the best and most fun I own. Great shots Krigl!

Cheers for the comments! Both FlyTampa's St Maarten (+St Barts+Saba) scenery and Kai Tak are amazing works of the FS developer's art and are something quite special. I'm sure their other, more standard airports are also good but these two are standouts because they offer something more than just a detailed airport environment. St Maarten can be combined with FlyTampa's Grenadines package, which I don't own and have no idea about, but it's in the region, + freeware mesh and other stuff in the Caribbean (seaplane tours etc) and it's a great place to fly, especially in Aerosoft's Twin Otter. Kai Tak is simply Kai Tak...that approach is unbeatable... but the modelling of Hong Kong is also stunning  :)

I also have Grenadines but I found it more FPS-hungry than St Maarten/Saba/St Barts. To me the latter is just the best out of the two.
