Stephane is correct, Doug......I did not send you the textures to go along with the effects :-/
Thanks Stephane ;)

I will send you these.......put them in your FSX/effects/texture folder :)
This should solve everything :)

I already sent you a zip file named "Doug" disregard/delete this.....you don't need it.

Goodly morning all.... :)

Here is an Update:

But first:

Thanks Stephane and Chuck for all your time, patience and effort, I am sure Simviation is proud to have many members like you who give freely of their time, their knowledge and their great advice... ;)

Now:

Have installed what you sent Chuck and it works wonderful on the water...some shots to follow once we get the problem with the runway straightened out.

Just to keep Stephane abreast of what is happening the balloon seems to float about two to three feet above the ground on landing, it does make a noise as if it has touched down but no effects shown between the basket and the ground.

When lifting off dirt will start to fly up from the ground but that is it....

Have sent Chuck an E-Mail.

Again thanks to all... ;)

I suppose that in the new aircraft.cfg that Chuck provided you for this balloon, there are some new contact points of type "float". In FS, the contact points can be wheels, scrape, floats, and skis... and perhaps there are more.
If a model doesn't have "float" contact points, then as soon as it touches the water, there is a "crash".
The problem in your case Doug, is that the coordinates of the "float" contact points must be incorrect.

Thanks Stephane... :)

I am hoping that the change in contact points Chuck is going to send will show the balloon scraping along the grass or runway and perhaps the basket tipping a bit like it would in real flight.

Not likely there will be any sparks as the baskets, at least any I have flown in were wickerwork and leather.

The water landings and takeoffs look awesome now... ;)

Hey guys......I was so busy getting it to work on the water, I didn't work out the points for ground landing ::)

I'll try to mess with it a little this evening, Doug :)
