Test flight

Postby Jayhawk Jake » Thu Sep 01, 2011 8:54 pm

Took the 747-8 up for a test flight.  I need to do something with my settings or clouds, it was chugga-chugga-chugging the frames.  Maybe I'll bite the bullet and buy a second graphics card and more ram soon :P  Need a comforter and to pay rent first (DAMN YOU REAL WORLD!!!!)

Anyways,  I think the 747-8F is SMEXY!  It's beautiful, I would like to have it's babies.  Looks great in the Cargolux scheme as well...

The clouds may ruin my frame rate, but they look nice 8-)

Rest of the flight was uneventful.  I guess it was raining recently though, touching down...

On the list of things I wish there were more of in flight sim, bridges at airports are way up there

Thanks for looking, comments welcome!

Great stuff. Does this come at extra cost after buying the 747-400 and 400F? Assuming its the PMDG one of course....

As to having its babies, the 747 already has had a baby, the 747SP!!!

Why oh why someone wont do the SP baffles me. Maybe not PMDG, its maybe too old school for that but please! Id pay top dollar for a really nice one! Yeah its not cutting edge anymore, and it doesnt have all the fancy eye candy systems that we love but its getting to the point where im going to have to find out more about creating the aircraft and just do one myself ;D

The POSKY one is still in my aircraft folder......

I think even CLS moaned at us for suggesting they do one after they did the 742/3......

Nice shots though, sorry for going on!!! ;D

It's not PMDG, it's POSKY.  Found it buried in the Civil Airliners section at SimV.  Great model, and it uses the default VC which is good enough for me.

The SP is sooooo ugly.  They made it so short that the vertical tail had to get enormous.

Thanks guys ;)

Nice shoots, yeah my frame rate sucks in heavy rain, fog or snow but it's ok till you have to pull through heavy clouds! If I'm above or below them I'm fine. 8-)
