Still training hard!

Postby pfevrier » Sat May 28, 2011 10:29 pm

I'm still training, getting better and better with V/STOL. I'm graduated to naval operations  ;D Here's me landing on the USS Tarawa, and the last shot is on the Patuxent (resupply ship). I had set a nice weather, but the next step will be to land with high winds/rain/heavy seas  ;D Enjoy!

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks for the comments guys! Yes, it is the new Harrier from Wilco. The Tarawa is now a freeware that you can get from FSaddon. It is an older flat top, but a nice one nonetheless.

Very nice shots, loss of points for the bad approach though ;-)

I'm going to have to go find that model of the Tarawa, but where did you find the pax?  I've been looking to try and build my own ESG (Expeditionary Strike Group) to play around with using aicarriers.  Boats like the Pax are always nice to see when out on the LHDs - means mail, good chow, and fresh smokes!

Thanks for the comments! The Pax is part of the Nimitz package with AICarriers, you can get the carrier in different configurations by itself, as part of a carrier group, refuelling with the Pax, or the Pax itself (which is my last shot).
