MiG-29 Transfers to Carrier, but is it the right one?

Postby Jakeman214 » Sat May 21, 2011 1:59 am

Here we have the wonderful IRIS MiG-29 Freeware package hard at work, showing off the time and effort put into it.  A wonderful aircraft, but a bit old.  I'm still running FS2004 as I have invested far too much time and space into it, and I see no reason to upgrade (yet...).  Anywho, lets FLY!

Image
"Tower this is Papa Charlie 312 taking off.  Do svidaniya!"

Image
And here is Papa Charlie 312 on course, heading out to the carrier.
"Hmm, mission briefing said the carrier should be about an hour out on this heading, carrier callsign is Mustang.  Time to settle in!"

Image
"Moskva Control, Papa Charlie 312.  I have an AMERICAN, I say again, AMERICAN carrier at Mustang's location.  Where the hell did my RUSSIAN aircraft carrier go?"
"312, Control, Mustang IS the American carrier.  You have been transfered to a training exercise with the Americanskis, so shut up and follow orders!"

Image
"I still don't like this, but I'm not being shot at yet, so I'm gonna put my bird down and show these Americans how a REAL fighter pilot does it!"

Image
"These Americans have too many wires!  Which one was I supposed to aim for again?  Pah, no matter, my brakes are strong enough to stop me easily!"

Image
"Hah!  That was too easy.  In Russian Navy, we land on decks HALF this size!  It proves it!  Russian pilots are better than American pilots!  Now, where is their wardroom?"

Hehe, much fun was had flying around and taking these, along with the write up.  I've always been a big fan of the Russian fighters design aspects and I love flying the aircraft in Flight sim!  For those that are wondering, yes that is the Arrestor Cable Carrier pack for FS2004 available right here at Simviation.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks Skunkworks!  No, this isn't my first time to a forum or to screenshots (about my 15th forum over about 5 years.  Sometimes, they die and you just have to move on...) and I've been downloading from Simviation for years now.  I only just remembered that you guys had a forum, and though I'd join and become part of the community.

I enjoy simming with a story. Every time I go up, there is a reason behind it.  When I took those, I was a Russian Frontal Aviation pilot.  It helps to take me away from life for an hour or 5 when I need it.  Plus, FLYING!

By the way, it's a nice place ya got here! Mind if I stick around?
