i got too cocky too soon...

I used the repaint kit from carenado's home page... and after I had edited it to my liking, and converted it to DDS, I threw it into one of their original paints, deleted the silly bmp originals, and this happened

I suspect all you need to do is flip the texture before saving it.

Textures in DDS format usually need flipping to display properly.

The first time I did a DDS repaint, i got the same results, and thought I broke my FSX.  :o

Personally, i like the "patch quilt" look with the odd textures.

and I can honestly say that "I do hate painting!!"

FS9 Default Baron 58, and I am repainting it pixel by pixel in MSPaint. UGH! .. yes, i know there are programs out there like FS Repaint, but I dont have the money to get it.. so I am going the best I can with what I have.... and in MY eye, it looks good.  Besides, this will be basically for my own personal use anyway.. im more than likely not going to upload it.
