VMX-22, Justin & The Argonauts

Postby patchz » Mon Sep 06, 2010 2:34 am

Marine Tiltrotor Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron Twenty-Two (VMX-22) is a United States Marine Corps tiltrotor squadron consisting of MV-22 Osprey transport aircraft. The squadron, known as the "Argonauts", is based at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. VMX-22 stood up in August 2003 and reports to the Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR), who in turn reports test data and results to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Director, Operational Test and Evaluation.

As far as I know, the Argonauts do not have the Agusta/Bell 609, but we can hope. They don't have Justin either, but I could not resist. ::)

Thanks for looking.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

;D  That's beautiful Larry, love the scheme you chose  ;)

I have a couple of weeks left before my tour of duty starts, cramming as much air time in as I can  ;D

I haven't purchased the Augusta yet, had to spend my allowance on some baby supplies last week, stocking up now while I can.  ::)

I'm sorry Larry I mislead you.  My "tour" is going to be 18 years...my baby girl...

I'm not deploying anytime soon.  I hope.

My tour in Iraq was 11 months long, and I left the states 2 months after I got married.  My wife and I can now get through just about anything together ;)
