I have all of the gauges from FS9 installed in the FSX gauges folder. Do the individual ones I need, have to be extracted from the gauge.cabs

Looking just fine there Shane. Over half way there. Looking forward to flying it in FSX.

There's a lot of gauge files to go through on this one.  :o

;)

The prop does some funny things as well, but the best part is, there's no "behind the prop" scenery/cloud disappearance issues with it.  8-)

Hopefully it won't take too much longer, and then we can see it over that NL2K v4.  :)

Sadly, that panel is about as good as it's going to get.

It refuses to allow anything with a .gau extension to load, and most of the ones listed in the panel.cfg are so oddly named, that I don't know what to replace them with.

If you can tell me what is supposed to be where in the missing spots, it would be a BIG help.  :)

Also, the pilot & copilot refuse to show, so you'll have a pilot-less plane.  :o

I don't have the panel studio, I've thought about getting the trial version, but I hate installing things that could possibly have a time limited function.

I have it in FS9, but (and I hate admitting this) I'm not sure what half of these old gauges are, and what a suitable replacement for them would be.

The trial version of FS Panel Studio has no time limit. It's fully functional but you cannot save changes for obvious reasons. I find it ideal for checking out panels. You could also identify the gauges by viewing the panel in FS9.

Thanks for the editing tips.

Well, in that case, I'm downloading it now!  :)

Thank you!  ;)

UPDATE:

I've got all replaceable gauges working, EXCEPT two:

The ASI, and the VSI for some reason will not display the gauge faces, the needles show, and they function, but that's it. No matter what gauges I place in those two spots, they meet with the same results.

Everything else has been replaced with gauges from the Beaver, DC-3, Cub, and C208.

I've reached my wits end with those two gauges, so ANY help on why they won't show would be greatly appreciated, and MANY, MANY thanks Doug for the Panel Studio recommendation. That program is a life saver!!  ;D  ;)

As for the prop, from these two shots, you can see that it isn't really visible while in motion, but the good news is, you won't have the funky 'see behind' glitch.  It IS visible when the motor is off.

There are a couple of other little graphical anomalies, but nothing so serious as to notice during flight.  ;)

Hopefully someone will know the secret of the invisible gauge faces, and then I can get it over to you!  :)

Thanks to a reply I received elsewhere,

It appears as though there is no fix for this, short of having the Gmax source files and modifying the VC panel.  :'(

Oh well, I can just move those two gauges to a different spot on the panel.  Most of them showing is better than none.   ;)
