The only thing is, it flies like a pig. 30,000 at 300 knots? Only if you're not in a hurry.

300 knots indicated air speed at 30,000 feet is normal for a 737, and any other tube.  What were you expecting?

Which model is it?  And are you used to flying 737NG (-700,-800,-900)?  If so, going back to the older 737 like the -500, you will see a decent drop in performance.  The new ones are hot rods compared to the first and second gen 737.

The newer models are pretty much what I was comparing it to.  But I also have a -200 that climbs out to 30,000 at 300 knots with no problem. No big deal, though.
