Look what I found...

While searching for something else, I found this jewel completely by accident. It's the Hughes XF-11/RA=11A Redux Package for FSX by Ian Lawrence and Craig Richardson at Classic Wings. And it works just fine in FS9.

[edit]Here is the correct link:

http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=66&page=1000[/edit]

There are several repaints on the same page.

The XF-11 was powered by 2

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Nice find! I'm downloading everything related to that plane now!

Also, maybe it's just me, but the link you provided does not work. I simply typed in "XF-11" in the Simviation file search and found the page, however.

EDIT: You may want to mention that it needs its sound system adjusted, propeller texture issues addressed at least for the addon liveries, lacks 2d panel, and needs the user to assign keystrokes to basic systems such as the battery and avionics masters. I'm sure its a nice plane in FSX though.

Don't know why the link did not work, I copied it straight from the address bar. Maybe I missed a character or two. Sorry.

But you said much better than I ever could. Especially since I don't fool with stuff like keystrokes for the battery.
