[color=#000000]Just wanted to get Daube to quit worrying. Kitty's breathing just fine.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Ah that's cool, thanks Patchz :)
What do you think about trying to darken a little bit the intakes ? To paint some kind of false shadow, so tha the intakes become darker and darker in proximity to the black part ?

... but it's true that those intakes are really short... I don't really know if a shadow effect would look realistic at all :/

I don't know, but I think it's worth looking into. Thanks.

As you said, the intakes are very short. It is difficult to get the gradient looking right in that short a distance. But tell me what you think.

It's a good start !
Now, I think the darkest color should be the same as the inside. You have made a color fading down to black, but the central part itself is grey. This is not consistent: the beginning of the intake should be just white like the external part, and then it should slowly fade to exactely the same grey as the central part.

[color=#000000]Yeah, you're right. I didn't notice it until after I posted and was too tired to redo. I'll fix it later.
