Cactus 5100 (A319-100)

Postby FlyingPerson » Sat May 16, 2009 11:20 am

Flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Princess Juliana Intl. A little story, just for the heck of it..
My wife had bought me my dream vacation - a vacation in St. Maarten.

Flying out of FLL.

Image

Cruising REALLY high above the Caribbean (at least for an A319) at 41.000 feet. Speed around 270 knots.

Image

Short final, coming in over Maho Beach. (Just in time.. miscalculated my fuel need so I had 3 % left of fuel when I landed :-[)
Image

I was greeted by broken clouds and some light rain. Hope this gets better soon or there won't be too much spotting.

Image

My next flight (back) will be coming soon (I hope).. and i've already planned it. I have chosen an.. unusual aircraft. Any guesses?

Also, there will be a little problem.. see my next post (coming soon) for details and the rest of the story.

I like the 2nd and last shots the best, although the last could have been cropped a little. The first is good, but could use some traffic, and the 3rd has very blurry ground scenery. Overall these are good shots though.

Brando, yea, my AI has been severely reduced for some reason. Looking at the third one, I agree I could have waited a little longer for the textures to load.

Thanks for the comments. Hopefully the next set will be better.

Great shots. but you really need to mix up your camera angles, the repetitive shots get boring

I thought that at first too, but it makes it seem like it's from a passenger's perspective of the flight.
