Fightertown USA

Postby patchz » Fri Apr 24, 2009 10:39 pm

I wasn't even going to enter this one because my system just won't support a lot of traffic. But then I got MAIW's Top Gun and well.....
I tried to get a shot with the static a lot closer but just could not get one I liked. This will just have to do.
Hope y'all like it.

Edit: Oops. I missed this: 2. Open only to SimV forum members registered before March 1, 2009. This is to prohibit registering multiple user names to allow more entries. It is also enforced to discourage people

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

That ground traffic would be a controller's nightmare ;D

That ground traffic would be a controller's nightmare ;D

Edit: I counted 148 aircraft. Then I remembered I had traffic turned down to about 60%. So I turned it up to 100% and went back. I counted 204 aircraft. I have no idea how many might have been in the air. There were at least 3 taxiing while I was counting.
I then counted 39 different liveries, including the variations. This included 4 different A4s and 1 F5, so there were 34 for the F-14s including variations. Unbelieveable. Oops, forgot to check the hangers. ::)
Here are a few of the more interesting ones. Sorry 'bout the jaggies. I'm not about to try to clean up that many pics at once.

[color=#000000]Here are the 204 if you want to try and count them. I used slew to do it.
Edit 2: Uh, when I typed this, I did not intend a pun and did not even notice it until just now. I used slew to count a slew of aircraft.

LOL, we discussed making a "Lite" version of that package because of its sheer size.  But that's something each user can do on their own if they want.  The package is meant to provide every single texture used on US Navy F-14s during the 1986 making of the move "Top Gun".  Because of that, the package is more of a fun package than one that is supposed to represent real life.  Glad you like it.

Thanks. FS9. I keep meaning to put that in my sig, but I keep forgetting. Getting old is the pits. :(

Edit: Ok, all fixed now. Now if I could just remember that other thing I was going to do and......
