"Short" 777 Flight

Postby FlyingPerson » Sat Mar 28, 2009 9:22 am

Just doing a "short" (well, short for the Triple Seven) flight from PANC to KLAX. (Not done yet - 3 hours and 40 minutes left), testing the new gauges in my AA 772-ER Trent 895. Even though I have lost a bit of faith in the Trent 895 since that BA 777 landed short of the runway, it's something nice with that nice engine sound of the RR engines. Also it's only a simulator. :D I will post the last screenies of the flight here later.

American Airlines Flight 2056.

Heavy, but not late rotation out of Stevens Anchorage Intl. Very nice purple dawn color, minutes before sunrise.

After a slooooooooow climb, we're nearly stretching the Triple's altitude limit (45,100 feet I believe), flying at Flight Level..

over the short piece of Pacific Ocean between Alaska and Los Angeles.

(More screenies coming in a few hours)

There are some jaggies in the first one, but the angle and sky look great. Nice preview.
