The White Bird (L'Oiseau Blanc or The White Dove) was a French biplane which disappeared in 1927, during an attempt to make the first non-stop transatlantic flight between Paris and New York. The aircraft was flown by French aviation warheroes Charles Nungesser and Fran

Thanks Shane and B-Valvs

No I haven't. Maybe down the line. Why don't you take a shot at it. Oh, and you were right. This aircraft is a lot of fun to land. Just kind of floats right down there. Oh and it does land on water pretty well , but you can't take off on it. But it does float.

;D After a trip that long, I don't think they planned on flying it back! ;)
I think I will look into this trip some more and try to recreate it and use the star nav. If the full tanks let me take off :-/!
If not I'll just add mid air refueling to it and just leave with a lighter load! ;D ;)I believe Lindy had the same problem with the Spirit.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I hope you can get her flying in FSX. Keep me updated. I'll let you soup up the engine and see how it goes.

Superb skies and aircraft here, although i think your scenery in the second just takes the edge of the rest. Strange, because it looks ok in the second and the last. Just my opinion mind!

I'm wondering about the landing gear. Seems as an old fixed l.g. but in the 1 and 2 pictures is not present.
So I seach in the Wiki and found that:
The landing gear were designed to be jettisoned on takeoff, to reduce the plane's weight. As of 2008, they are the only confirmed part of the plane remaining. The gear is on display at the French Air and Space museum, the Mus

When you press G on take off they fall away. When you press it again for landing they fly up from the ground and reattach. Looks pretty funny when it happens. ;D
