MOUSY's back (again) in a 748i!

Postby MOUSY » Fri Aug 22, 2008 6:53 am

So I started simming again recently. I'm back after a very long while (10 months) of not posting anything in freeware, because my repairman stole my FX5200 after giving me a new hard drive, and now I'm stuck with an 8MB Nvidia Vanta. Got bored one day an reinstalled FS... Unbelievably it runs the sim well enough for the shots below!

Downloaded the Boeing 747-8i and took it for a spin around Boeing Field and down into Sea-Tac. The autopilot behaves a bit sluggishly, esp. in holding altitude, but all in all its a pretty cool bird to fly.

Enough chit-chat:

On approach for Runway 34L, slight crosswind.

Touchdown way off center but right on the numbers:

Slowing my roll lower down the runway:

Taxiing to gates, a bit to close to the Bus up ahead:

Parked and shutdown with the NWA family:

Comments and Criticisms welcome.
Hopefully I'll finally be finishing off that Caribbean Tour I've started 3 times now... look out for Leg 12 soon: Jamaica to Cuba.

P.S: I know they're small, 1024 doesn't cut it for me with all that scrolling. Plus, it hides some of my inherent jaggies. ;D

Thanks guys. Remember that I am using an 8MB Nvidia Vanta. It may not be able to render proper shadows, but it gets the general job done.
