Operation Dragon Rouge-. Historic C-130 flight in Congo, FZSA (Kamina) to FZIA (Simisimi). C-130 model by Mike Stone. FS9.

On 24 November 1964, a squadron of planes including fifteen US Air Force C-130 transports (322nd US Air Force Division.) dropped 550 Belgian paratroopers onto the airfield at Stanleyville (Now Kisangani).

Over the next two days over 1,800 American and Europeans were evacuated as well as around 400 Congolese. 80 europeans died.
