Atlantic overnight

Postby JDLincs » Fri May 16, 2008 10:09 am

As seen by my BA Boeing 737-800. No effects or whatever - pure FSX SP2 - unfortunately a little blurry due to resizing from 1680x1050:

1 - Sun setting South of the Faroes
2 - The Sun goes down...
3 - By the light of the silvery moon...
4 - Sunrise over the North Sea

Hi JD! Welcome to the V! I hope you enjoy your stay here in the nut house. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask; that's what we're here for!

As you are not the average 13 year old, I think I can be straight to you. The sunset/dawn is very nice but I think these shots are very repetitive and therefore a bit boring. There's 'nothing' to see apart from the sunset. Contrary to what the others say, for that reason, I happen to like the third shot the best. That you switched on the window lights at night is pretty clever though.

Please don't get me wrong, your shots are really nice. I just like to see more variety ...

Try to get some shots that tell a story. Your shots are of promising quality so all you need is a storyline. Something along the lines of 'at the gates' - 'taxi' - 'rotate' - 'gear up' - 'leaving the airport behind', will most of the time make a very nice story. Or the other way around as in my Kai Tak series (sorry for the shameless plug)

If you need anything just ask ... it's what we're here for ;)

Aha! Interesting points there Harold. Id indeed say the 3rd is the pick of the bunch.

I find its a tricky thing to get 'life' into a shot when the sun is behind the aircraft.....often they look a little flat.

However, nice to see someone from my part of the world! Flat, lifeless lincolnshire!
