I didn't read the rules before posting this image. I'm sorry, but I registered too late for this contest (1-21-07).

The image itself is brilliant!!

However, like you said, you registered too late. Ah well, there's always next month... :D

There are 2 bad (well, not terrible things) things about this entry.. one you already mentioned and the second is the stretched cliff texture there is (which cant really be helped)

Still... if this entry was valid it would be rivaling for a finalist shot no doubt!

Great stuff though. Shall see you in February  ;)

I just discovered the screenshot contest yesterday and thought, "Cool,  I'll enter something."  I didn't read the rules, I just registered and loaded up FSX  and started taking screenshots.  It was only after I posted that I scrolled down and read the rules for this months contest. I'm looking forward to next month's contest so I can submit a valid entry.

Is there any way to get rid of the stretched cliff textures? I currently am running the default FSX scenery.

Its just the way the texture was made... the scenery is a giant elastic band (sort of) and at points like those the band is not stretched gradually (unlike the smoother relief in the ground like mountains) and the texture stretches with it.

It cant be helped, but sometimes it just gives more realism to try and not include it in the shot.
