It's March 1961 over the Nevada Desert and in the cockpit of the X-15, Neil Armstrong has just ignited the rocket engine that will catapult him to the edge of space.

Neil made seven flights in the X-15 rocket plane from December 1960 until July 1962.

would have liked to see a closer-up image of the aircraft, but still pretty nice
the trail conveys speed quite well, but the textures look grainy (i think thats down to the filtering type you chose though)
still, a nice first shot and i like the story with it- you find new things out everyday
