I think the real benefit in FSX with Dx10 is performance.

DX10 is not going to suddenly make everything look ub3r cool ash, it should just give  performance boost and allow you have  a little more eye candy. all DX is is a software relationship to your hardware... (i think :P )

I think the real benefit in FSX with Dx10 is performance.

Lightbloom looks slightly diferant, most notably the removal of the bloom reflection shaped like an 'X'. Water has better reflections and wind affects the water. Also there are VC shadows.

None of them, apart from the bloom is really noticable in that shot, however, performance in DX10 can be 20% better, or even more with some configerations.

That's assuming is we have the hardware. Didn't someone mention at one point that we needed to have at least a GeForce 8800 series or equivalent in order to appreciate DX10?

You can also get crap-tacular DX10 videocards now for under 100$ :)

You are waaaay to picky.  I for one just want the performance boost so I can actually play FSX without crying

Well obviously. The same way that you'd need a DX9 card to have DX9.

Because FS9 doesn't support DX10 ;)

Dont have FSX but in World In Conflict the average framerate is about 5fps more while having far more smoke effects in benchmark mode
