Looks good without the bloom....the FS Sky World Sun has a similar ray effect...Would you like for me to show you? It's for FS9... ;)

As long as the reports I get back from the betas I put out are good I may go ahead and release it as a stand-alone update this coming Sunday instead of waiting and including it with the aircraft lights.

That looks gorgeous! How does it influence the framerate?

EDIT: ...and I forgot: Will it be also available for FS9?

zero hit with no bloom and the same hit if you enable bloom

no performance difference than the default sun.

Although the other default textures and config file were re-worked the only thing it physically adds to the sim is a 326kb file for the god-rays,

Its the same files for FS9 so it will probably work but I have no way of testing it

You must also remember that FSX handles light completely different so it may not work right in FS9 and if it does, it may not look the same.

Okay...

Well, that's why we have backups, isn't it... ;)

[Especially for Windows...]

I'll try it then. Thanks for such nice addons which makes my world of FS9 almost perfect.
