Not so sure about England; all accounts from the time point to the stuka being essentially obsolete by that point and 'easy pickings' for fighters.

She sure was a helluva weapon in Hitler's conquest of mainland Europe though. :o

I watched a Battle Of Britain documentary in which the former RAF pilots ( now obviously old men ) said Hurricanes and Spits going up against Stukas was "like shooting fish in a barrel"... I think the luftwaffte realised after one or two disasterous raids on Britain that they were obsolete by the 1940's and quickly withdrew them.

However, they were highly instrumental , as has been mentioned earlier , in Germany's swift occupation of mainland Europe. The Poles and French ( and Spanish in the Civil war a few years earlier ) didn't stand a chance.

By the way, I coupled this aircraft with the sounds I got with a Japanese Zero,..after I realised that when you exceed 220 kts in the Zero..there is a sort of sirens whail.. just like the Stuka's sirens.
Just adds to how natural this aircraft acts and sounds.  8-)
