RAF Role Demonstration

Postby red7jon » Fri Aug 24, 2007 10:22 am

Kemble Air Day 2007,

Image

A spectator at the front of the crowd line tries to capture the action on a digital camera, and does a nice job of it too!  :P

IRIS Tornado,
Chinook,
E-3 Sentry,
Kemble Scenery,

All available from SimV and all freeware.

Done using FSRecorder and a lot of attempts!

Best of luck to all,
Jon

Very nice!

Although that large empty chunk on the left is a bit detracting from the shot

Great try! I'd say it needs to be zoomed in more onto the Chinook and scenery behind. Yes, you'd loose the E3 but it's very small anyway.

Overall though, that must have taken AGES to do and nice capture of the dust kicked up by the Chinook.   8-)

Yes there is a bit of emptiness on the left, maybe if the Sentry was to the left a bit, and a bit nearer, the shout would be better.
HOWEVER, I do really really like this shot, very very good.  Especially after seeing the RAF role demo myself!
Nice one.

This role demo was performed at this years RIAT too... it was very well done with staged explosions and stuff...
This shot captures this demo very well indeed...
Well Done...

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this was the exact same shot pretty much as i was prepairing!!!!!! i had the scenery and aircraft all set up i just needed to take a s shot

can i still enter it?

No reason why not... it might even be better.... go ahead and enter it.... the judges don't 'knock points off' for your shot being similar to another person's... as far as I am aware...

Thanks for all the kind comments chaps!

I admit I left the space on the left a little blank and wanted to get the Red Arrows in and also wanted to show it was being 'taken' by a amateur spectator just trying to capture the action. Maybe it should be filled  :)

Absolutely! Don't let my little Tornadoes hold you back!

PS. You have the best ideas  ;)

Great shot

Its not really empty, I suppose if the pic was bigger you would notice it...but there's the reds, Spitfire and a hurricane I think

Spot on with the Reds, Spit and Hurricane. I thought they would be hard to make out.
