I would have seriously posted that first in the contest, only its too high to be a spectators view. Amazing stuff.

Nice colors and contrails but I think the shots are to dark and that takes away the focus from those really nice aircraft ...

Thanks for the comments everyone... and by the way, those contrails are a smoke effect...

Harold, I agree that the shot was too dark - however it was a quick shot that involved no real 'setting up' - I just sort of 'stumbled upon it' and decided to make the most of it...

Had I been putting together a serious shot, piece by piece, I would have done it late dawn or early dusk, and the lighting would have been better. Certainly now that you've said that, i'll try to apply that philosophy more frequently in future...

Nice shots. Question. How is this being done in FS9? The formation flying that is. Is it some sort of download whereas you are the lead plane but they all fly at the same time? Or some sort of recorder module? Links? Would like to try this stuff out on my rig vs my standard solo AC shots. Thanks in advance and again great shots ;)

It is, in this case, as far as FS is concerned, a single aircraft that is completely flyable. it is found here - first text box, link 'redpack 3'. you might also want to try redpack 4 - I haven't yet, but the desription sounds like it fixes the lack of gauges and stuff in 'redpack 3'

Thanks. Although it says for FS 2002, I take it it works and looks great in FS9? I am definately trying this out tonight when I get home from work! ;)

Thanks Ben, but.... it isn't recorder... (see my last post in this forum) I can't claim to be that good.... ;D

The smoke couldn't have been done otherwise.... at least not by me..... I am hopeless at formation flying....

To JetMech; yes, it works beautifully in FS9 - although the one thing I would say is that the roll-rate's a bit fast for a 9-ship formation... ;D
