That is a very cool effect Groundbound! I've been looking for some good fire effects for Milton Shupe's Beech D18S. Would this also work for that bird? I'm using it in my tour and ... well can't tell you yet :P

Could you e-mail the effect? I'd love to beta test it for you and give you feedback on it!

Well, here's the thing..........I'm finding out that positioning the effect in the right place on different planes, is trickier than a simple coordinate change in the aircraft.cfg. I would need to go into the effect and change the position of the emitter too. (It would seem that I only have to do that to change the vertical position though, :-? I have yet to figure out why) So, let me do some tweaking on it and I'd be happy to send you a copy for the D18S, provided you won't distribute it.

The second is more realistic I reckon. Can the timing of the fire extinguishers be manipulated?

Absolutely. I personally like the fire to go out after 15 or 20 seconds or so. What's your pleasure? ;)

OK, Mr. Kip.......It should be in your "inbox"! Tell me what you think. 8-)

(Please be gentle, you're the first besides myself to use this effect!)

I'll test it in the coming week and will definately let you know what I think. The screenshots look very, very promissing ;)

I may have misunderstood ya here. The time it takes for the fire to go out is configured from within the effect, not from within the sim itself. Is that what you meant?

Ah yes ... of course. Can you edit the effect so that the time it takes for the fire to extinguish can be manipulated. Guess the answer is yes ;)

Well, it took a while, but I've just uploaded my first of (hopefully) many engine fire effects packages! Harold, thank you very much for all your help and input! Look for it right here at SimV!  :)
