Putting the "Boom" back in Twin-Boom

Postby Akula. » Wed May 09, 2007 12:48 pm

P-38 is a brilliant aircraft in my opinion. One of the only aircraft of WWII that could carry two tons of bombs to the target, drop them, blast it with a good ol' bit of strafing, and then shoot down a fair number of fighter aircraft. In one go.

Dropped bombs, wide turn, came back around and shot the target to bits with rockets and guns.

Was aiming for the tanks, but managed to hit the bridge instead.

Whoa! I hit the tank, transforming the two magnificent machines of war into a mass of flames.

Controls I little sluggish in the last one?

you seem to have lost a bit of fluid, hydraulic, oil, fuel, and blood!
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

That guy in the Wirbelwind must've been asleep.

And are those King Tigers in the last two shots?  :o

Yep, 69 tonnes of King Tiger. Needless to say, it offered a reasonable amount of resistance to a 300mph P-38.
