Evening flight in Wales

Postby Jon H » Sat May 05, 2007 6:53 am

Last night I took a short hop from Valley airport in Anglesey down to Bristol in Mike Stone's Saab 340.

Climbing to FL180 over the Welsh mountains.

Cruising along as the sun begins to set. Everything looks so tranquil...

But just as I began my decent the weather took a rather sudden turn for the worst. Visability fell rapidly to less than 5nm. Here just crossing the Severn estury with landing lights on.

After the landing - It wasn't great, and took the whole runway to stop (Just like in real life then...?)

Shut down at the gate with the familiar easyJet A319s to keep me company.

Comments welcome as always.

Cheers, Jon

For you, I quote,

Helps to read, doesn't it?  8-) Read the bold  ;)
