I took a grand total of 3 shots this month, and it was still quite hard to choose my entry. It features a little-known ancestor of every military helo flying today, the Flettner Fl 282 "Kolibri", effectively the very first helicopter to be used in warfare. They were put into use in the Mediterranean theatre, where they served as submarine hunters. Though it looked fragile, and couldn't carry weapons, it was highly agile, and could (and did) do a fair job of evading Navy fighters. It also proved itself very useful in guiding tank crews and directing artillery fire. Though it was an impressive craft for its day, it arrived too late to make any difference, and by the end of the war, only three Kolibris remained intact (taken as war trophies by Russia and the US).
Anyhoo, that's enough history for one day, here's the shot:

Comments very much appreciated.
Good luck to all!
