Talk about an armada...four carriers, swarms of SBDs and TBFs, Corsairs, Seafires, Hellcats...all opposed by a few Zeros, Tonys and Franks. :o
This is just a very small part of what rushed up to Okinawa that day!

And after a trip with the wayback machine, we're right over wake with a Betty. Of the dozens of Bettys launched, at least a dozen got shot down by Wildcats. The Zero escort arrived too late to save them...
Bottom line: The war in the pacific is not for me. So back to the eastern front!
