Razorback P-51 part 1

Postby Souichiro » Thu Feb 15, 2007 4:40 pm

With All the D model Mustangs flying around lately I thought it was time for a little older model. The A one. And also in a scheme we hardly see, A swedish one. I flew from.....? to Topcliffe AB

Twas a test flight after some overhaul operations so I needed to shake her loose a bit.

First some normal procedures to see if everything was working ok

And then came the shaking loose part

Next it was back to serious flying and on to Topcliffe

Don't go too high, though.  Those weak Allison V-1710 american engines couldn't cut it at high altitude. Needed a good old British Rolls Royce Merlin 60 before it could fullfill it's potential.   ;)
