...for haroldkip anyway! Here is how the red bull air racing Blohm & Voss BV P.170. As you can see it is not anywhere near finished yet, I havent even touched the wings and still have text to apply through out, but I thought I would give you all a taster, maybe drum up a bit of interest ;)

Also, what number do you think should be painted on the aircraft? So far I am thinking '05' simply because it is my favorite number!

Didi Mateschitz (the boss of Red Bull) would not be amused to see this one flying around! :o

Holy cow! That is funky! I like it!! I'd like to see that bird finished :D
I'd say you should paint '666' on it ... looks like a devil of an acrobatic plane to me ;D

I don't know how your modeling skills are but I suggest you'd get rid of the bombs ...

It looks superb, I'd definately fly it!!!.... but I'd get rid of the swastikas and maybe the crosses on the wings too, definately the swastikas.... ok on a period plane but strange and unpleasant on a modern day air racer.... :)

In answer to the previous post, I'd imagine Didi is probably Jewish...

Has to be a nightmare to try a visual approach with that thing, seen the position of the cockpit... :o

As I said, I havent touched the wings yet  :P Its not even close to being finished, so dont panic.

As for the bombs, unfortunatly my modelling skills are zero so they will have to stay :(, but having now painted them, they look like cans of red bull, so its not all bad ;)

Anyway, I shall keep uploading a pic every now ang again as it nears completion.

There's no VC, and the cockpit view doesn't show the long nose, or the wings...much easier to see that way, but I was a little disappointed... not much of a challenge.
