Excellent shot you got there.

I normally apply these levels to get rid of the blurries:

1. High-mipmap levels
2. Very sparse scenery complexity
3. Normal autogen
6. Bilinear filtering
7. Koorby Clouds weather theme from VOZ

I may get the shimmering, but at least the blurries aren't there to make it ugly and the shimmering helps give the allusion of a more populated autogen. Of course I also use FS Autostart to free up needed resources for this to happen. Otherwise, my computer will slow to a crawl.

Again, excellent shot. I like how you used the lowered visibility to cover the distant blurries.

I definitely have to get used to use FSAutostart!
So far I haven't used it; I only switch off the UPS monitoring software because it tends to pop up when the system is under heavy load, saying "woops, I lost contact with the UPS... no wait, here it is again".  :P

Or just go Start ---> Run ---> msconfig ---> startup

And shut down everything except your Graphics card setting,  then go to 'Services' and check the Hide all microsoft services, and uncheck everything, except you graphics settings again. Restart, and you've got a nice clean computer! I always do this because FSAutostart never worked for me, and kept on shutting down 'scvhost' and then my computer would try and implode, also, it missed alot of my anti-virus stuff running in the background. Oh well!

Cheers
Alex

P.S. Remember to put everything back again after...!

You should go to MajorGeeks.com. I'm pretty sure they have a list of services that you can shut down safely.

Cheers,
