Clipnotes: Freeware Classics / Rockwell Turbo

Postby Clipper » Tue Mar 28, 2006 11:02 am

I thought I might start a mini-series of classic freeware aircraft just in case some of our less experienced flyers missed them the first time around. The first in the series is the brilliant Veneaviones Rockwell Turbo Commander 690B. This classic has to be flown to be believed. A crafty combination of realistic engine sounds, sleek aerodynamic design and fine flight dynamics make this a must have. For those of you that have experienced this powerful beauty, i'm sure you'd want to add why you agree (or dis-agree) that this is a superb piece of freeware..

Nicely detailed and functional panel, fly with or without VC.

Just a note that I used the new cfg. tweek for these shots. The benefits are most noticeable in the last shot. The scenery shows no signs of blurring in the distance.  :)
