Sorry, I didn't take many pics of today's race - but once we were in the air I did my best to avoid everyone else, particularly the DEA pilots!

Lesson learned today:
The ground handling on a Lear is pretty good, as long as you stay on the tarmac.  Once you hit the grass, forget it!  The brakes don't work and the steering just sends you skidding sideways instead of skidding forwards.  I went all over the airport and took ages just getting the stupid plane turned around so I could taxi back again!

Mistake of the month:
More than once, a Eurofighter passed overhead without spotting me down among the treetops.  But on the second leg one of them slowed down, and I thought he'd seen me.  So I cranked the Lear round in a hard turn and headed off in another direction, and the DEA plane passed by harmlessly.  Whew!  I headed back to the red line on my GPS and followed it again - but it was several minutes before I realised I'd turned the wrong way and was following the line back to where I'd come from!  Doh!

You saw me in a Eurofighter there, Ashar saw me in an F-16, and the whole time I was in a C172!  Weird.


Mistake of the month:

Thinking the race was at 20:00 GMT when it was actually at 17:00 GMT and realizing this at 18:00 GMT. D'oh!

DEA mistake of the month: DEA stopped me.. but I wasn't even racing!!
I think Nemo would had figured out, that a Learjet flying with 1400 knots probably isn't a Learjet at all!
I was flying in a F-14!
