Well this Pablo geezer offered me a fair wad of dosh and the use of his Dak if I could just drop some cargo off for him just north of Rome... no problem until he told me some of the details! So I happened to hear my old mate Jeff (Storm) was in town and asked him to camouflage this well known kite for me... I should have told him in RAF colours
So a night flight so no-one can read my tail number clearly (important)!

Now this is where things got complicated, Pablos plan was  to turn off all the lights and the transponder then fly through the Swiss alps at low-level to lose radar tracking etc!!! Mad but I like a challenge so at first I could just follow the roads....

Hard to see but I did spot the trees and ridgeline ahead just in time!

Then the clouds descended...

At last I can put the lights back on!

Down safely at LIRA, now to get something fast and get the hell out of here before the law catches up with me!

Running drugs is nothing compared to the terror of low-level flying through the Swiss Alps without lights at night in cloud! Enough to unblock even the worst case of constipation

I don't think lights would help much anyway, only to see the trees you are about to hit.    

It's actually easier in a dark cockpit using whatever residual light there is, and no, I not a drug runner..... though I'd do just about anything to fly!
