On route to Packwood, Part 2/3

Still on the route to Packwood, I had my attention striked by a curious monument. It appeared in the middle of nowhere...well ok, let's say I was flying too low and I couldn't see anything further than 2 or 3 miles away ;D

This strange mountain was standing on my route, I could not refuse a little visit. Down the throttle, down the noze, I started a slow descend toward that valley to have a closer look to that beautifull Mother Earth's piece of art...

After this nice little turistic moment, I returned to my "planned" route. Climbing to 7000 feet again, I stabilized the airplane on 90% power, cap 170. The landscape was fantastic and from time to time I went down to play with the mountain edges.

That game was so nice that the time flew. In less than half an hour, the remaining distance between me and that famous snowy mount was almost totally covered. I was already seeing the big moutain across the clouds, when a nearby valley reminded me of something... I knew that place... Ah of course, that was Ranger Creek! Packwood is getting closer and closer. The road was even simpler now -> follow the valley, straight ahead!

I lined up the aircraft while passing over the small airstrip, and suddently I noticed that the clouds were again getting more dense... This wasn't really a good new. I had the feeling that the approach to Packwood was not going to be easy...
