My RTW Trip Part 5B

CONTINUED ON...

Image
Now this didn't seem to please Mitchell and I. More desert, and I had visions of Mitchell starting another game of 'I Spy' with me. I shuddered, then remembered our little meeting with his Majesty the Prince of India. I checked the speed indicator. We were going at a good 215 KIAS, which was a good speed.

Image
The sun had risen higher and higher into the sky. I checked the time, it was about 8:45am. I decided that we werent going quick enough, so I consulted Mitchell.
"We ought to go full throttle for a little bit," I said.
"Are you sure? We could do structural damage."
"Don't worry, we can keep going until it gets too much."
"Okay," Mitchell sighed, "lets do it."
I placed my hand on the throttle and pushed foward, and the roar of "Howie's" engines increased. Soon, we were going too fast for us to like, and we began to hear creaking. "Are you STILL sure?" Mitchell said.
"Yea, she will hold out for about 10 minutes."
"No, go full for 5. I've come this far with you, and we aren't going to die here."
"Okay," I agreed after a long silence, "that'll do."

Image
After our speed boost, we were just behind schedule. I set up the throttle to cruise while Mitchell was arranging the spare clothes of his. We were nearing our destination.

Image
After descending down to 3,000ft, I found that these conditions were almost EXACTLY the same as my first flight on approach to LIRF (which reminds me that I forgot to drop in on Woozy!!)

Image
And, after a rather high approach, we had touched down. We landed at 9:50am, which isn't too bad. We were only 5 minutes behind schedule.

After parking up, we exited the airport and found Mr. Akbar, holding a sign saying 'Round the World' on it. We knew this was him.

Next: The meeting with his Majesty, flying down to Sri Lanka, and yet more surprises!!

NOW, THE BIT I MISSED OUT:-

As we were flying over Pakistsan, Mitchell and I went into the back of "Howie" and got a few boxes. We came low over Islamabad, REAL slow, opened the door, looked for some people waving up at us and found some, and threw out the boxes whilst shouting 'SUPPLIES!!!!!!!'

Thanks for reading/watching/looking!!

Nice work lads! I hope you had some kind of chute on those boxes...or you might have done more harm than good.
