Today you are witness to a new milestone in Killerbunny's history ;D
KILLERBUNNY'S EUROPEAN CAPITALS TOUR
The Idea
My first idea was doing a RTW-trip, but since there are some other members doing that, I didn't go through with that. So this is my next idea :) Visiting the most interesting European capitals. I won't do all of them, that would take me too much time (if I counted well, there should be 49 capitals to visit). I don't have a list, I'll see where I want to go before I start a leg. Oh yes, I won't be telling any stories, I'm terrible at that. I juste hope to give you some "interesting" information now and then ;)
The Aircraft
The aircraft I'll be using is the Focke Wulf Fw 200 Condor. The Focke-Wulf Fw 200 was a four engine airliner, built under Lufthansa specification. It was the very first airplane to fly non-stop between Berlin and New York on August 10, 1938 in 24 hours and 56 minutes. The return trip took only 19 hours and 47 minutes on August 13, 1938. The aircraft was a simple development of a pre-war commercial craft. First flown in 1937 it was an all metal construction, four-engine monoplane capable of carrying 25 passengers up to 3000 km. During WWII, Fw 200B and Fw 200C models were used as long-range bombers, reconnaissance, troop and VIP transport planes. After late 1943 the Condor came to be used solely as a transport aircraft. For reconnaissance it was replaced by the Junkers Ju 290 and as France was invaded maritime reconnaissance became impossible. Production ended in 1944 with a total of 276 aircraft produced.
