Postby glennlcasey » Thu Sep 01, 2005 3:31 am

So yeah coming home after a hard day flying , for some reason, my plane gets taken over b y mysterious forces which cause it to disappear. Can anyone tell me why this happened? Added as well is the shot I was aiming for.

ahh ansett... how i miss you... It's great to see an iconic aussie airliner being recognised!! I'm guessing your aussie yourself?? Great shot by the way ^^ although there seems to be an error with the lights, they seem to be shining from a point of non existence about 10m below the plane...

And the first one looks like a blatant texture error to me....

Hello Mr winged one!

Yes I am an aussie, I'm from Perth Western Australia, and I grew up with Ansett, seeing as how I used to live up north and what not. So i guess having my little squadron of aircraft all decked out in ansett markings is a small tribute in some way to a great airline.

With regards to the lights, I downloaded some spotlight package from the misc section here at simv, and yeah makes a deal of improvement over the defalut lights which drowned out everything, and the only way to see was by turning them off.

I've never used the spot light... I'm more of a day VFR flyer. But i'll check it out.
Which model is that in the pic... is it an A320 or A330? I can tell it's Airbus by the winglets, but the angle is too deep to tell which one XD

I don't know what happened in the first shot. The second shot is nice.

looks like your cloaking device is set improperly or malfunctioning.  :(  Should've bought brand new instead of used from the Klingons  :-/ .. ha ha  ;D . Nice plane though and nice second shot.

That's very common - at least for me - when taking screenshots.

I'm not entirely sure why; but I suppose FS9 has to refresh the models every frame or sommat like that.

To be sure; I'd like to know exactly why it does it myself; but the solution is easy:

When taking screenshots; don't take one at a time. Take several at once - you might be missing one or two elements and lose a nice shot like you did there. With several shots; most are bound o be OK. :)
