The latest from Kirk Olsson

Postby Ivan » Sat Aug 27, 2005 5:03 pm

Ever thought the F-16 had a nice clean aerodynamic shape...

Now they discovered that there isn't enough space inside!

Image
IAF F-16I, the start of the idea as they want more electronic kit and a range exceeding that of the F-15I

Image
Greek Block 52 model D... and the HAF wants some extra range too...

Image
UAE Air force Block 60...
So Lockheed decides to make a new production model, this one is a F-16F

To remind you of how it should look: a F-16B MLU of the Dutch Airforce in trainer loadout...

OMG - how to ruin the looks of a perfectly nice plane.

Great shots though Ivan.

Cheers,

I downloaded the B-model today. To get an overview, there's now the older F-16C and two new models (B and I) out, right? Did Kirk only chang the model or do these models have different flight dynamics too?  ???

Not much difference in dynamics i think. only difference for me is the responsiveness, but that's a framerate thing

Well, I took the time to compare the aircraft.cfg files and I noticed the static trust settings are different...which is realistic. The single seater is lighter and therefore accelerates faster...
