Postby Omag 2.0 » Sun May 15, 2005 7:55 am

... great weather outside, tired of killing my gardenshed yesterday, so what better to do than a little relaxing flight.

So I decided to hop over to the other side of the channel... ended up in Lydd...

Climbing away from Koksijde airbase in Belgium

What a relaxing weather!

Seaside fog setting in, only improving my mood... makes me think of summer...

Sometimes the classics are the best, a lovely flight it was! Now witch bus would bring me to Worthing? Wanna visit good old Grumpy...

Hi Omag:

Some of the DHC-1s here had a wooden spar with the fuel guages in either wing.

Later models had metal spars with the fuel guages inside the cockpit and a nice bubble canopy.

What ever the model they were a great aeroplane to fly.

Great shots...thanks ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S. we even had them on skis
