It is better to remain silent and be considered a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

;D So what did you think?  Found this beauty on Flightsim.com. It's a 1909 Curtiss Pusher the designers Great Uncle built from plans in Popular Mechanics way back then. Flys like a dream with a beautiful sound package of a vintage engine and the wind whistling through the wires. Hit the light key and the pilot cracks a grin, (And promptly gets a mouthful of bugs!)  No instruments, just like the original. Only thing missing is a lovely female passenger looking at you with adoring eyes, as she tries to keep her skirts from blowing up in the wind.

"Come Josephine in my flying machine........

;D Oops! forgot to mention that I'm going to attempt a repaint of this bird to match Professor Fate's plane from the Great Race.

What in tarnation?

LOL I can't remember the last time I saw that expression. :D I think it was in one of the comics I had when I was a kid. Probably Desperate Dan or someone like that.

Nice looking model Captain. ;)

PS. Why didn't you put them all in the same post? ???

I've run into problems with that before with not all the images showing up, and there's that 100K limit thing, I don't know if it's accumlative for images per post or what.  Thanks for the compliment. I really have a thing for these pioneering aircraft. They look so cool, and back then showing up in one made for a bevy of adoring young lovlies crowding about you.

You can always check it out before posting it by clicking on the Preview button. If you can post one image successfully there's no reason you can't post 5. The 500k limit is supposed to be per thread so posting them separately makes no difference. ;)

I just love these old pioneering birds. You really had to know what you were doing to keep from winding up in a tree, power lines, etc. Plus being the pilot of one made you an instant babe magnet when you set down someplace.  Years ago Cox made a gas pwered model of a Curtiss like this one that I wish I could find again.
