Ford Island (making my graphics card cry!)

Postby xFLAMESx » Tue Mar 08, 2005 11:01 pm

As the title suggests, I absolutely murdered my graphics taking the first few shots. . . . .
Unfortunately I can't fly with clouds on :( so all these are ground based. . . . .

Sitting dockside, menacing looking clouds all around. . . . .
Image

Awaiting duties, beautiful IOWA class battleship next to me. . . . .
Image

Still waiting. . . . .Landable aircraft carrier in upper-right. . . . .
Image

Looking dead-ahead, seems the storm passed with no rain. . . . .
Image

Looking back, all seems peaceful on base. . . . .
Image

Weather clears to reveal a beautiful sunrise. . . . .
Image

Later that day. . . . .

Incoming Trader to transport a few airmen to a carrier. . . . .

Thanks for looking, the rest of the cloud free series will be available on my site in a few days :)

Cheers,

Carl

Hey Soui,

Thanks man, you can get the C1 here :

She's real fun to fly and depending on conditions, can climb quite sharply at around 55-60 KIAS ;D

Cheers,

Carl

Hi daz,
Got it from Avsim just do a search for DBWsim, should be somewhere near the top ;)

Also worth checking out the rest of DBWsim's scenery, 'tis fantastic stuff and not too hard on frame-rates either :)

Happy flying,

Carl

Indeed, but worth every inch IMO 8)
I take you have some of their stuff then? ::)

For those who aren't sure about the quality, shots of the area will be on my site around 02:30 GMT (about 21:30 EST (I think. . . . .))
Will also be putting a modified AFCAD for Ford Island on there for use with the DBW Scenery, with the default AFCAD it seems a little 'off' ::)

Cheers,

Carl
