oucho :-X Happened to me once at Ford Island. The 2 runways are the same runway, just  different sides. So when i was getting up to speed, another plane was coming the other way on approach, needless to say, we collided :P Stupid ATC! ;)

I was flying my Beech B200 to Beijing once... 0 visibility weather... a 727 flew right past me, like an inch away from my skin.  Good thing the plane was equipped with an anti-collision alerting system, the word "Traffic! Traffic!" almost blew my ear out!  :o

I almost came close. On final from a sunset flight around the Three Sisters I noticed the runway got bright real quick. Just as I approached the end of the runway, I realized that a Cessna Caravan was taxiing to Runway 34. (See the "Beautiful Bend OR Sunset thread a few pages back).

Good thing I did a go-around ;)
