Floatplanes Inbound!

Postby jordonj » Thu Oct 07, 2004 5:52 pm

After the radio message, we parked the boat.  I had my camera (of course ;D).

Firstly, there came a Ryan STA on floats!

Image

It landed and went to the docks (somewhere behind me, DeeDee was trying to ask me something...)

Image

Next came this Piper Cub on Floats!

Image

This shot is what landing on water is all about!  (DeeDee was, I was told later, trying to get my attention, but I wasn't listening...)

Image

I remember flying one of these (a Super Cub), except the one I flew didn't have floats.

Image

As I shot, I think I heard something like "obsessive compulsive"...probably DeeDee's voice.

I have more shots, I just have to post them in a seperate thread to keep within the limit...

I think if you ignore Dee Dee any longer you are going to end up in the water with those planes. ;D  Great shots and story.

Now don't ignore DEE DEE any longer or your camera might disappear :)

Looking for more.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
