Lovely British Weather :(

Postby xFLAMESx » Tue Sep 21, 2004 8:24 am

Ok Chaps,
My first ever commercial flight WITH passengers didn't go too well ;D

Got up 8am to find beautiful blue skies and not a cloud in sight (just like the weatherman said).

Got to the airport and still no probs.

However, once I was onboard my bird..........
Image within seconds all hell broke loose :o

Looks like I'll be doing this IFR then ;D

Got airborn (slightly difficult with 60kt cross-winds)
and out of London (no pics - trying too keep control ;D),
things aren't looking too bad..........
Image Over Southampton - London in background

All was trouble-free from then on, until I approached St. Mawgan (EGDG)..........
Image Turning for final

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.
You may encounter some sideways motion upon landing, DO NOT be alarmed it's just a little cross-wind :P"
Image Coming down

Passed the threshold AND the landing-zone (not to worry, I CAN do this ;D)
Image A little off-center methinks ;D

The cross-wind I mentioned earlier
Image Still looking good :P

Touchdown ! ! !
Image Knew I'd make it ;)

Parked (should be safe now ;D)
Image Air Frog France in distance :P (no offence)

Phew that was rough - I think I'll try flying somewhere else next time ;D

Thanks for watching...

Carl out.....

Indeedy ;D

Here's the base a/c that I used

and here's the paint scheme

Both go straight to the d/load (don't worry they are the right ones - I checked)

Happy flying (hope you do better than me ;D)
