Returning from St Maarten...

Postby Triple_7 » Tue Aug 10, 2004 3:37 pm

Well its been a nice week or two in beautiful St Maarten but it is time to get back to flying with Air France before i loose my job.  Though a good thing did come from the crash of our chartered 737 several days ago... With the settlement from the charter company for faulty equipment that nearly killed several and some money I had been saving back... I had enough to buy a used 737-500 that was ready to be used for parts even though it was still in perfect flying order.  So after a quick trip to Seatle's, Boeing field I acquired a personal 737 and decided to leave it in its current airline config for awhile and start my own personal charter sevice for when Im not busy with AF.  After a quick paintjob and plenty of paperwork I was on my way back to St Maarten in my new 737 :)

But after a final 2 days of R & R I packed up and headed back to Washington.  Though this time carrying 10 of my first paying passengers.

Ready for pushback.

Finaly parked and unloaded.  As for this aircraft a friend is on his way to take it on to Fort Wayne for me.  For me its back to Paris tommarow morning.

I think im going to have to switch back to Grab Clip Save for my shots.  The one im using now came with my webcam and seems to sharpen things way to much.

As for the paintjob.  It was my first attempt ever to repaint an aircraft.  After somewhere around 5 hours of painting and editing i think i got it to where i like.  Though im experimenting with more liveries for the future.

Thanks ;D

Now i just need to find out how to get crome effects and better windows.   Also need some new flight dynamics because she flys kind of like a fighter jet on turns and such.  And has a tendancy to make landings very hard.  But i want to keep this aircraft due to its framerate friendly and thats about all this computer handles.  I have never messed with any of these types of settings before and have no clue how to fix them to be a bit more real.  I just started an interest in painting a couple days ago and have to use the defult paint program to paint everything.  I downloaded PIXIA earlyer but i have noooooo clue how to use it.  Is there an easyer to use but free program?  Also how do i change the flight dynamics and what to set them as.  And for now,  is there a way to enable crome effects in the paint program???

Many more Qs to come.

Thanks ;D

Well my 737 is now safely parked at Fort Wayne International.  As for me I'm about an hour away from departing for Paris.  I wanted a morning flight but there is only 2 evening flights available.  So for now im just relaxing and preparing for the 7 hour trip from KIAD to LFPG.  Looks like ill be flying the 777-200 for this trip.  Will post a few pics tommarow morning when i arive.  Current ETA is 6 AM Paris time :)
