GA = Great Airplanes!

'Lo all!

(Side note: looks like G00se beat me to it - posting a pic of these 'planes!)  ;D

Anyhoo, everyone's got their favourite airplane; some like fast screaming fighters; some like big comfy jets. Some love Warbirds.
But for my money; you can't beat Bellanca for down-to-Earth; bare-bones, just bombin' around, grass strip aviation.

I honestly believe no pilot that's ever strapped on a Citabria or Super-D has not fallen instantly in love - they're reliable, friendly, versatile airplanes and fun, fun, fun to fly. :) I've lost hope of finding a Citabria for FS2004; but fortunately there's a couple of superb Bellancas available here at SimV; the Scout and the Super-D.

Here's the Scout:

These birds are made for rolling - fully aerobatic; responsive and strong.

CYKF from the VC - great detail; note the open window via entrance 2

...and its bigger brother; the Super Decathalon.

The Super-D in my favourite colour. This livery is very similar to the lighter green and white starburst design of The Green Beast; my beloved towplane C-GCCF.

The Super-D comes with a smoke system; appropriate since it's so much fun to fly aerobatics with her. (P.S. - the loop was perfectly vertical; the quirks of FS9 make it look like its on an angle...still looks great. :) )

Review:
Both planes have excellent models and wonderful flight characteristics. They feel much like the real Bellanca; though the Super-D's roll rate might be just a very tiny bit high. Very stable; good visibility, no surprises. Also excellent stall and spin capability as well.

Of the two; the Scout is the slightly better aircraft; since it has four separate models each in several liveries: Standard wheels; tundra tires (heh heh - try those on a grass strip. Work for a perfect 3-point or its boing-boing-boing down the runway. LOL!), floats and skis. Perfect for all your bush flying needs. The Super-D is even more fun to fly; 4 liveries though it just has wheels with mini-spats.

Lol - the only thing they don't have (which I sorely miss) is a towhook! :D

Enjoy the pics; and get the planes!

great looking shots staiduk.

GA is the best for short trips around airports, my favorite is to fly around southern california in the default C172.
